We can help
Living with a mental health condition can affect far more than your mood. Symptoms can begin interfering with relationships, work, sleep, physical health, and your ability to manage everyday responsibilities. When outpatient therapy or medication alone is no longer providing enough support, a more structured treatment environment may be worth considering.
For adults looking for Bel Air mental health treatment, Elevation Behavioral Health provides comprehensive residential care in Los Angeles County. Our private, home-like setting gives clients an opportunity to step away from daily pressures and focus more fully on their mental and emotional health.
Elevation Behavioral Health specializes in primary mental health and dual diagnosis treatment using individualized plans that combine evidence-based clinical care with holistic approaches to wellness.
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU
Take the first step towards healing.
Elevation Behavioral Health is not physically located in Bel Air. Our residential facilities are located elsewhere in Los Angeles County, including Agoura Hills, providing Bel Air residents with an option to temporarily leave their everyday environment while remaining in the greater Los Angeles area.
This separation can be valuable when symptoms have become intertwined with daily stress, relationships, work demands, or other environmental pressures. Rather than trying to fit intensive mental health care around everyday responsibilities, residential treatment creates a setting where treatment and stabilization can become the primary focus.
Travel from Bel Air to the Agoura Hills area generally involves heading west toward the San Fernando Valley and then continuing toward the Conejo Valley. Depending on your starting point in Bel Air and current traffic, a common route involves traveling toward I-405 North, connecting with US-101 North/West, and continuing toward Agoura Hills.
Los Angeles traffic can substantially change the fastest route and travel time, so clients and families should use current GPS directions before leaving rather than relying on a fixed route.

Mental health conditions affect people differently. Two people with the same diagnosis may experience very different symptoms and require different approaches to treatment.
Elevation Behavioral Health provides treatment for several complex mental health conditions, including:
Treatment is individualized rather than expecting everyone with a particular diagnosis to respond to the same combination of therapies.
Our Approach
Residential treatment should involve more than simply providing a safe place to stay. Clinical treatment needs to address the patterns, symptoms, and circumstances contributing to a person’s difficulties.
Elevation’s residential program uses several evidence-based approaches, including:
The exact combination depends on the client’s diagnosis, symptoms, history, and treatment goals.
We Can Help
Mental health affects the whole person. Sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, relationships, and daily habits can influence how someone feels and functions. Elevation incorporates holistic wellness practices alongside traditional clinical treatment. These may include yoga, meditation, mindfulness, physical fitness, journaling, nutrition education, and holistic individual therapy.
These activities are not substitutes for evidence-based mental health care. Instead, they can complement clinical treatment by helping clients develop additional ways to manage stress and support overall wellness.

Mental health treatment does not end the day someone leaves residential care.
Returning to work, relationships, family responsibilities, and everyday stress can require another period of adjustment. Elevation helps clients transition into continued care and can connect individuals with outpatient programs, virtual outpatient services, and transitional living options.
The appropriate next step depends on the person’s progress, needs, support system, and treatment recommendations. For some people, this may involve traditional outpatient therapy. Others may benefit from a more structured intensive outpatient program or partial hospitalization program.
Not everyone needs residential care, and some people require continued support after completing a higher level of treatment. Elevation offers virtual outpatient mental health treatment, including virtual IOP and PHP options. Its virtual IOP generally involves 9–12 hours of treatment activities each week, while the virtual PHP involves a more intensive weekly schedule. Virtual treatment can make structured care more accessible while allowing clients to remain at home and begin applying skills within everyday life.
Mental health conditions rarely affect only the person experiencing symptoms. Family members may feel confused, worried, exhausted, or unsure how to help. Relationships can also become strained after long periods of instability. Family involvement can be incorporated into treatment at Elevation when clinically appropriate.
Family members may benefit from learning more about the condition, recognizing patterns that unintentionally contribute to conflict, establishing healthier boundaries, and understanding how to provide support without taking responsibility for another person’s recovery.
Cost is understandably an important part of choosing a treatment program. Elevation Behavioral Health accepts private pay and works with most PPO health insurance plans. The program currently states that it does not accept Medi-Cal, Medicaid, IEHP, or HMO plans.
Insurance benefits can vary significantly even between plans from the same provider. Verifying benefits before admission can help clarify possible coverage, deductibles, out-of-pocket responsibilities, and other details.
