We can help
No matter what anyone tries to tell you, having an anxiety disorder or living with constant, debilitating anxiety is not the same as being stressed out. Almost all adults experience stress from time to time. In fact, a small, manageable amount of stress is a sign of a functioning nervous system. When you find it challenging to simply exist, though, you may need professional intervention.
Some people with anxiety disorders benefit from spending a few weeks or months at an overnight facility. If that seems like something you might benefit from, we think Elevation Behavioral Health is the place for you. Our caring team offers comprehensive psychological services for individuals needing some help managing mental health conditions. If you’re looking for anxiety treatment in New Jersey, look no further – call us today at 888-561-0868 or contact us to get the intake process started.
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU
Take the first step towards healing.
Inpatient facilities are often associated with substance use disorder—commonly drug or alcohol addiction. It can be difficult to find inpatient facilities that focus on treating mental health conditions. Many are classified as psych wards, which are geared toward a specific client and not generally used for long-term treatment. Elevation Behavioral Health (BH) is a luxury mental health treatment center that fills this gap for individuals seeking inpatient care.
While we deliver many types of therapeutic interventions to clients in our residential program, we do not overlook the importance of getting a break from the stressors of the outside world. Our staff meticulously addresses every detail of each client’s stay so they can solely focus on managing their mental health conditions. We also offer experiential therapies, mindfulness activities, and other treatments that complement psychotherapy as part of our anxiety treatment in New Jersey.
Our team of experts is here to help you.
Our Programs
Many clients who find success with our residential program go on to receive outpatient care at Elevation BH. Some clients, however, are more comfortable with our cutting-edge virtual mental health outpatient program. Whether distance separates you from our California facilities or you feel more comfortable receiving care from your own home, you’ll receive the same expert care you’d get from in-person care.
Virtual IOP (intensive outpatient program) clients still participate in crucial group therapy sessions. They also receive weekly one-on-one counseling from licensed therapists. Clients can involve family members and loved ones during treatment. Virtual care is a more affordable and flexible option for many of our clients.

Anxiety is much more than periodic stress. The human stress response, which includes increased heartbeat, tensed muscles, sweating, and rapid breathing, among other symptoms, is helpful when we sense that we need to deal with a threat or danger. Sometimes, however, our bodies can activate the stress (fight-or-flight) response at inappropriate times. If this happens often enough, you may be diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
Excessive panic attacks aren’t the only sign of an anxiety disorder, however. Multiple types of this mental illness exist, including:
Effective anxiety disorders treatment must involve a personalized, targeted care plan. Elevation BH is committed to finding the right combination of therapies and interventions for you.
Using evidence-based therapies is crucial for mental health treatment. While we find that nutritional counseling, mindfulness exercises, and experiential therapies are important for holistic care, tried-and-true psychotherapies remain the bedrock of Elevation BH’s programs.
CBT and DBT are two evidence-based and effective psychotherapies that have been around for decades. DBT is a more focused offshoot of CBT, which first aims to help clients recognize unhelpful thoughts and thought patterns. Over time, clients learn how these unhelpful thoughts (cognitive distortions) can lead to unhealthy behaviors and become adept at interrupting them before they lead to these behaviors.
Conversely, DBT helps clients accept their thoughts, feelings, and emotions to a certain extent. Clients become neutral observers and, in turn, learn to better manage their emotions.
Neurofeedback involves the direct observation of brainwaves after exposure to particular sights, sounds, and other stimuli. By looking at how your brain responds to certain things, you can gain a better understanding of your thoughts and emotions. As you get more data, you can learn how to shift your mental state to better manage stressors.
One of the main reasons humans can react to past trauma so negatively in the present moment is due to the way brains store traumatic memories. Through certain eye movements and other mechanisms in EMDR, clients can restructure the way their brains hold past trauma. Memories can be rerouted to other parts of the brain, which can reduce their intensity.
Brainspotting is similar to EMDR in that clients can gain better relationships with traumatic memories. During sessions, therapists will advise clients to look at specific places (brain spots) in their visual fields whenever their minds drift toward past trauma. Focusing on these brain spots while working through their trauma-related thoughts and feelings can help clients gain control over traumatic memories.
