Short-Friendly Introduction of Self
As a therapist, I value thoughtful, collaborative work with clients as we explore their experiences and develop new insight. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and integrates both cognitive and experiential methods to support meaningful healing and growth.
My Journey to Mental Healthcare
I graduated with my master’s degree in 2016 from a program that uniquely combined Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy training. Experiencing these approaches together shaped my interest in therapies that engage both cognitive and experiential parts of the healing process. Over time, my curiosity about the mind–body–brain connection led me to pursue additional training in EMDR and related trauma-focused approaches. While education provided the foundation for my work, my experience with clients continues to guide my learning and growth.
How Long Have You Been in the Field?
I have been working in the mental health field since completing my graduate training in 2016.
What Do You Love Most About Being a Mental Health Professional?
What I value most about this work is the opportunity to sit with people as they explore their experiences and gain deeper understanding of themselves. Supporting clients as they process difficult experiences and move toward healing and meaningful change is incredibly rewarding.
Education / Certifications / Areas of Specialization
My clinical training includes several trauma-informed and experiential therapy approaches. I am trained in Art Therapy, Imago Couples Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), EMDR, and Brainspotting, along with other trauma-informed modalities. I integrate these approaches to help clients process trauma, improve relational patterns, and develop greater emotional insight.
Most Profound or Insightful Thing Learned in the Field
Rather than one specific/profound insight, what stands out to me are the everyday sessions I have with clients. There is something meaningful about showing up for people when they are at their most vulnerable, and it is work I continue to feel grateful to do.
Roles I Play in My Own Life
Outside of my professional role, I value creativity, curiosity, and ongoing learning. These qualities shape both my personal life and my work as a therapist.
Hobbies & Interests Outside of Work
Outside of work, I enjoy creative projects, traveling, and spending time with family.
